From Womb to Tomb or Conception to Mansion

Baby in womb talking

Where do YOU live? Some people live in the womb. These have created a nice, warm, cozy environment for themselves surrounded by the familiar. They float in that which they have always known. Yes, it gets a little crowded. Sometimes they get sloshed around. Sometimes they get squished, but through vigorous kicking and complaining, they gain a little more room. They have no clue that a much broader world awaits them, if they will only yield to their destiny and be born into it. These hate change. They despise transition. Even when their world around them falls apart, they cling to the familiar- to what once was comfortable.

“For the infant, the transition from womb to birth has to be very traumatic! All the baby knows is its nice, warm, cozy, liquid environment. It hears its mother’s voice and feels her heart beat. All is secure in its little world. Then begins labor! At first, there is some pressure, some squeezing- not too bad so far. As time goes on, things go from bad to worse! It loses its water bath, the pressure increases and becomes so frequent that it is hard for the baby to catch its breath. Then, when it seems like things can’t possibly get any worse, transition happens! The baby is forced into a very tight place- so tight that the bones in its little skull have to overlap each other for it to fit! The squeezing goes on and on and on. It becomes almost impossible to get any oxygen. Then the top of the baby’s head suddenly gets cold. Cold! What on earth is cold?!? All of a sudden something grabs the baby’s head, pulls it down while turning it and boom! Everything is cold and bright and noisy! All of a sudden something very rough is being rubbed all over its body. That’s it! Baby can’t take anymore and begins to scream! This is transition!” (Excerpt from One Lamb Redeemed by Shoshana Goldberg)

Just as the womb is NOT fullness of life but only the place of growth to prepare for life, so these mere 70 plus or minus years on planet earth is not true life, but a preparation place for eternity. “Yeshua said, ‘I AM the Way — and the Truth and the Life; no one comes to the Father except through me.’” (John 14:6, CJB) “In my Father’s house are many places to live. If there weren’t, I would have told you; because I am going there to prepare a place for you.” (John 14:2, CJB) Where do YOU want to live? Are you positioning yourself for that eternity, or trying to make your womb a little more cozy until you find yourself in the tomb?
