DOES BELIEF EQUAL TRUTH?

Worst past Best future

Have you ever believed something so tenaciously that when you found out it was a lie, it rocked your world? What did you do with this new found “truth”? Did you embrace this truth or convince yourself that it could not possibly be, hence discarding it?

This happened to me. As a child I had questions about God, but no one in my circle to answer them. When I was 12, school taught evolution as a fact. I had no reason to doubt this “truth”. This led me to believe the mantra of my generation: “If it feels good, do it!” The subsequent involvement in parties, drugs, and “free love” left me empty, forsaken, without love, and even without emotion. At a time when many youth were blossoming into the adults they were to be, stretching their wings to fly, mine were stripped and bare. Life was a series of empty promises and disappointment. By this time I was in my early 20s and had already lived and seen too much.

Then I met Yeshua (Jesus). One evening, on the feast of First Fruits, He came into my room. It was as though someone had thrown a light switch on in my life. He didn’t say a word. I just knew. In the depths of my being, I knew He was real. He is Messiah!

Everything I had believed and lived was a lie. Faced with this new truth, I had to make a decision. Stay in my old life, or follow Him. I chose to follow Him. I have not regretted it. NOT ONE DAY OR TIME HAVE I REGRETTED FOLLOWING HIM!

Where has your life led you? Are you immersed in fatigue and disappointment? Are you tired of trying to make things work for yourself only to find yourself going in circles? Yes, life brings trials and disappointments to all of us, but there is a place of peace in the midst of the storm. Yeshua said “I AM the Way, the Truth and the Life”. There is no real life without believing THE truth, and following HIS way!
